Way back when, Multipanel UK started out of a small office and warehouse in Devon.
In our early years, we partnered with a China-based ACP producer to import product manufactured to western specification for the emerging Sign, Display & Print market.
Through the following decade, we grew rapidly through distribution partners across Australasia, Africa and Latin America, expanding beyond our original markets into print, road traffic and steel whiteboard solutions.
In 2014, we brought aluminium composite panel manufacturing back to Britain, opening our own manufacturing line in Dover, Kent. This gave us direct control over production and allowed us to offer faster service to our growing international distributor network.
At Multipanel UK, our UK production line lets us manage quality and consistency directly, layer by layer, in every panel we produce. We source raw materials from Europe and around the world, and test against the standards our distributors and their customers rely on.
In 2022, Multipanel UK became part of the Manufactured Products Division of Grimco Inc. in the United States. Grimco is a leading distributor of sign, display and print products across North America and Europe, and as part of the group, Multipanel UK's ACP now sits alongside a wider manufacturing portfolio that includes plastics and other sheet metals. While our core market remains ACP for the Sign, Display and Print industries, the versatility of ACP has allowed us to support a much broader range of sectors. The range we offer has evolved over time based on customer and market demand, as businesses have moved away from the substrates they traditionally used towards ACP, drawn by the benefits it offers over those alternatives.

Modern Production Capacity & Storage
Over the past 12 years, we've invested in our production line's speed and capability, developing what is now the fastest production line in the industry. This investment has allowed us to almost double our initial annual production capacity — from 6,500,000m² to 12,000,000m² in 2026.
We've also extended our site in Dover, Kent, expanding our warehousing with a fully automated mobile racking system with capacity for 6,000 pallets. This facility holds over 4,500 tonnes of ACP material, using automated technology to locate and dispatch stock efficiently.
A Multitude of Applications
Multipanel UK's panels are designed for easy fabrication and installation across a wide range of sectors. Our materials are used for displays, high-definition prints, and signage panelling, as well as corporate ID branding and store design. Beyond retail, our panels are used in transport hubs, vehicle interiors, and industrial casing, as well as interior decor, furniture, and large-format architectural prints.
We offer a range of finishes — including gloss, matt, brushed, mirror, and over 30 bespoke options — with consistent colour and surface quality, and strong print adhesion for graphics work. Our panels are produced to close tolerances for flatness and rigidity, feature a low-tack protective liner, and can be fabricated into complex shapes for a wide range of applications. We maintain quality control processes throughout production, and work to reduce our environmental impact through practices such as recycling.
